Your Guide to Working
with a Narwhal

Everything you need to know about what working with me looks like, how to reach me, and what I'm able to help with.

Let's Dive In

We meet regularly to stay aligned, either weekly for 30 minutes or biweekly for one hour, depending on what works best for your team. In between, email is the primary way to reach me for most things. Texts work for anything time-sensitive.

Regular Calls

We'll schedule these together and keep them on the calendar. These count toward your monthly hours and are the best place for bigger picture conversations.

Email First

For most requests, questions, or things you want me to look at, email is the move. It gives me the context I need and lets me give you a real answer, not just a quick reaction.

Text for Urgent

If something is genuinely time-sensitive, text is fine. I'll always do my best to get back to you quickly when it matters.

Monthly Summary

Every month I'll send a brief note on how time was used. No surprises. If we're running hot in a given month, we'll talk about it before the next invoice.

How Deliverables Work

When I'm creating something for you, we follow a clear revision structure so nothing comes as a surprise and the work stays efficient. This applies to anything I'm building and handing off.

01

Version 1

The first draft. We'll be aligned on scope and goal before this goes out, so V1 shouldn't be a surprise.

02

Version 2

Your feedback, incorporated. This is where we refine direction, tone, or structure based on what you need.

03

Final

Clean, approved, ready to use. If we need to go beyond Final, we'll have a quick conversation about what that looks like.

Navigating These Waters Together

A few things that will make this retainer feel easy and the work better for everyone.

Response Time

You can expect a response within 1 to 2 business days for most things. I'm not always available the moment something comes in, but I'm never ignoring you. If it's urgent, text.

Scope Conversations

This retainer covers a set amount of time each month. If we're tracking over, I'll flag it before it becomes a problem, not after. You'll always know where we stand.

How I Think

I'm a strategist first. Sometimes I'll push back on something if I think there's a stronger direction. That's the job. I'll always explain my thinking, and ultimately it's your call.

What Makes This Work

The more context you give me, the better the work is. Quick questions get quick answers. Bigger asks benefit from a little background on what you're trying to accomplish.

The Narwhal Is Always Nearby

Email is best for most things. Text when it's urgent. I'll always find my way back to you.
